Students will learn the basics of Leatherworking, including some historical background (impacts of leathercraft throughout several periods of history), tool, equipment and materials handling/implementation, and several leatherworking projects. Furthermore, the students will be required to learn leatherworking terminology.

The students will know how to Pattern, correctly Cut, Stitch, Rivet, Form, Tool, and “Shade” Leather. Also, they will be working with Kydex plastics and learning how to implement those into leathercraft. The students will be familiarized with all of the most common leatherworking tools and materials.
