Steve & Gina Armstrong
Program Director / Teacher
The Armstrongs joined the ranch in 2017. Steve was working as a certified substance abuse counselor before coming to the ranch. As a teen, Steve struggled with his own addiction, which led him on a path of destruction. After becoming a Christian, his heart’s desire was to help people avoid those same struggles. He was a ministry leader for Celebrate Recovery at his home church in Stockton, CA. He participated in Choices and Consequences, a program that brought a panel of convicted felons to high schools around San Joaquin County. This program helped teens see that certain behaviors and choices would lead them down the wrong path. It was at this time that Steve realized his passion to help the younger generation.
Gina and Steve were married in 2008 and were baptized together in 2010. Gina worked as a teacher’s assistant for Head Start Child Development until 2013 when she went back to school and became a full-time student and stay-at-home mom. Gina earned her B.A. in Liberal Studies at the University of the Pacific in 2015. In 2014 Gina began working part time at Quail Lake Baptist Church as the Early Childhood Coordinator. She organized and implemented the curriculum for Sunday School and Mid-week Children’s Church programs. Steve and Gina have three children: Gabe, Matthew, and Serena. Their children are now home-schooled and are currently enjoying their ranch life by raising pigs and chickens.
