Derrick & Leah Pack (with their 5 children: Elisha, Silas, Selah, Joanna, and Abel) joined Flying H towards the end of 2020. They moved here from Northern California where they lived together since being married in 2009 and where Derrick received his B.A. in Bible and Theology from Shasta Bible College and Graduate School. Derrick and Leah were area missionaries with InFaith prior to this, serving in local ministries in the Redding, CA area and serving in local church leadership, music ministries, and teaching/preaching. Derrick came on to serve primarily in Youth Services teaching vocational Work Skills and Music Fundamentals classes for the boys, taking part in hiking and outdoor activities as well. In 2022 he also took on the role of Facilities Manager, overseeing staff homes, lodge, facilities, and technology/IT departments. He is also currently serving as the Missions Coordinator at the Ranch, working with supporting churches and individual volunteers who come during our summer months to do service projects at the Ranch. 

When she isn’t homeschooling the 5 children, Leah cooks 2-3 meals a week for the boys and will occasionally teach a culinary class for the boys as well. In 2022, Leah took over as Food Services Director, taking over the primary food ordering, menu planning, and cook shift coordination. 

The Packs are thrilled to be at the Flying H Youth Ranch, privileged to see God’s work in the hearts of the young men He brings here and in their families.
